  • Key trader’s tools: buying/selling order creation tool, active trade orders, order book, order history, trade history for a chosen crypto pair
  • Newsfeed related to a chosen crypto pair

Tech under the hood

From the perspective of technology, the solution is flexible and ready for different types of customizations. The tech stack of the solution is the following.

The frontend is built on ReactJS. The technologies used in the solution are Typescript, Mobx, React router library, React-hook-from library, Joi library, React-date-range, and React-sortable-hoc.

The project is coded using the onion layers approach. It enables high flexibility from the customization perspective and assists with project scalability.

Backend is built using the NestJS framework; application architecture is built with a microservice approach.

Four key microservices include:
API-gateway

Allows for configuring separate processing for each of the API endpoint addresses. This allows API requests to be routed to separate backend endpoints, and at the same time, change the headers in the request/response for more flexible handling of API requests.

Coins

Serves to create new crypto coins, retrieve a list of currently available coins, receive coins by their id, etc.

The actual exchange module described above.

Users

Implements all the methods that are necessary for registering/authorizing a user, as well as methods for creating different types of orders (limit, market, stop loss), matching these orders, and creating transactions for updating user balances.
